Companies offer huge discounts during the Diwali season to attract customers, which helps the economy and also helps the poor. It also helps the community in hunger since this festival shares it food. It also brings tourists to the country.
Since Diwali period also marks school holidays in most parts of India, many Bollywood movies are released during this period.
